DESCRIPTION:The Cape May County Zoo American Association of Zoo Keepers are holding their 8th annual "Night Out with the Critters" at the Cape May County Zoo in Cape May Court House\, NJ on Friday\, June 22nd from 5-8:30 pm. It is their biggest fundraiser of the year for the animals at the zoo. There will be a BBQ dinner\, special animal encounters\, and various activities around the zoo after hours. There is also a silent auction with animal related items & baskets from local businesses. Adults are $25\, Children $12 (ages 12 & under)\, 2 & under are free. SUMMARY:Family Fun Day Fundraiser Benefits United Way’s Success By 6®
DESCRIPTION:Get your fill of spins\, spills and thrills during United Way’s Family Fun Day with unlimited amusement park rides available from 1-4 pm on Monday\, August 20 and enjoy unlimited rides for just $20. This annual fundraising event at Wonderland Pier in Ocean City\, N.J.\, benefits the programs of Success By 6®\, an early childhood initiative coordinated by United Way in Atlantic and Cape May Counties.    With the purchase of a $20 wristband\, available at any ticket booth or the customer service center on August 20\, children of all ages are invited to enjoy unlimited rides on any of the Pier’s multi-level amusements. From the Carousel to the Monorail to the Tilt -A- Whirl to the Runaway Train Coaster\, Wonderland Pier has a ride sure to satisfy all those seeking fun and adventure for the day. Fifty percent of the proceeds go directly to United Way’s Success By 6®. The Pier is located at 6th Street on the Ocean City Boardwalk. Wristbands cannot be purchased in advance of August 20.    Success By 6®\, an initiative coordinated by United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey in Atlantic and Cape May Counties\, is leading an effort to create a web of services to make a positive impact on the lives of children ages 0-6. Success By 6® is a national childhood initiative that brings together resources from a partnership of individuals from businesses\, education\, health care\, government\, media\, and service organizations who share the common vision of having children ready to succeed when they enter school. Success By 6® has built a unique collaboration of child-serving agencies in Atlantic County to focus its immediate attention on pediatric dental health\, prenatal care\, parenting skills\, early literacy\, and improving immunization rates.    The goal of Success By 6® is to ensure that infants and preschool children become prepared for school and life emotionally\, socially\, medically\, and educationally. It is the largest early childhood movement in the country and the most recognized United Way initiative.
