Smith's album "In The Lonely Hour" debuted at No. 1 in the UK and No. 2 on the Billboard 200 in the U.S., and remained in the Top 10 for 13 weeks. That album claimed the record for the highest first week sales for a UK male artist in the soundscan era and currently has surpassed sales of 2.8 million adjusted units worldwide.
While "Stay With Me" has become a mainstay at mainstream radio, Smith's current single "I'm Not The Only One" is on the same path. Most recently, Smith was nominated for two American Music Awards in the categories of New Artist of the Year and Favorite Male Artist Pop/Rock.
