EHT Police and School Officials Say No Threat at High School

We got the call at our house early yesterday evening. It's the kind of phone call that reminds you the kind of world we live in.

We have one child still in school - at Egg Harbor Township High School.

The call from the school yesterday was about a supposed threat to security at the school. According to the school official, there was a rumor going around social media about a threat, but officials and police determined it was not a credible threat.

On Facebook, officials at the Egg Harbor Township Police Department agreed:

I, for one, am glad the school district chose to share the information with parents. I'm also glad that EHTPD will have officers at the school, as a precaution.

It was just last week that a social media post caused a lockdown at Absegami High School in Galloway.
