Do you remember the first time you ever rode a bike on the boardwalk?  Me either. But my daughters do.  The big event just happened last Sunday for Eileen and Bridget, and, like any good parent, I was there video-taping for posterity's sake.

The girls have been riding bikes without their training wheels since back in the spring, but we didn't let them try... riding by themselves on the boardwalk because of the increased summer volume.  If you've ridden a bike on any South Jersey beach town's boardwalk during the crush of summer season, you know what a free-for-all it can be, even for much more experienced riders! I figured by later September, things  would have calmed down enough to give it a try.  Since it was such a beautiful day though, it was really still too crowded for my first-timers.  But, I think they managed quite nicely.  Of course, I am a partial so my opinion may be a little biased.

Here is a short video of Sunday's first-time boardwalk bike ride  for Bridget and Eileen, on the Ventnor Boardwalk.
