Earth Day, Olivia Newton-John, Cape May Jazz

Here's my weekly rundown of fun and interesting things to do this weekend in South Jersey. A couple of these weekend events deserve special mention.

Join me with Lite Rock 96.9 WFPG at 11:30am Saturday for opening day at the South Jersey Field of Dreams in Absecon. Saturday features the unveiling of the latest amenity at the Field, a mini-golf course, at this beautiful, specially-designed baseball field for kids with disabilities.

Brigantine's Marine Mammal Stranding Center's celebration of International Seal Day sounds like a perfect time to introduce the kids, or yourself, to the Center, with guided tours, demonstrations and activities.

The line-up for the Cape May Exit 0 Jazz Festival is particularly excellent this year, including sessions with Joey Alexander, Lisa Fischer and Ron Carter, with one of my favorite guitarists, Pat Metheny.

Finally, Friday is Earth Day. From 10a-4p Sunday, the ACUA in Egg Harbor Township holds their annual commemoration, which always seems so well-planned with Eco-friendly events, show and such.
