Hey dog lovers, have you ever wondered if your favorite furry friend is also one of the most popular breeds in the state?

Check out the 5 most popular dog breeds in the Garden State, according to American Kennel Club as reported by NJ.com. The ranking is from 2017 and the criteria used to determine the list comes from the nation's registrations for purebreds, as compiled by the AKC.

    Labrador Retriever

What can I say, I am a sucker for labs, especially Yellow Labs. The Labrador Retriever tops the list here in NJ, AND the entire country for the 27th year in a row!

My girl, Josie is friendly, active (sometimes too much) and extremely outgoing, all the traits of a lab. She loves everything and everybody, except for cats and squirrels, for some reason squirrels just rub her the wrong way.
