Every year Google holds their Doodle 4 Google contest for kids in Kindergarten through 12th grade. The contest asks students to tap into their creative side and create a Google logo for the website. The winning Doodle will be used on Google's homepage as well as win scholarship money for college and for their school.

Have you been on Google when they don't have their traditional blue, green, marigold, and red logo? Sometimes Google follows a theme for someone's birthday, a holiday, or major event. That's pretty much what the students have to do, be creative and create a new homepage logo. We made our very own South Jersey themed Doodle 4 Google and I think it could win. I may be a bit biased.

Since the Doodle 4 Google contest is only open to students K-12, this Doodle isn't eligible. While I may not be able to submit my work of art, it was fun to draw.

I took the South Jersey route and used a dolphin for the "G" to represent the Jersey Shore, Jersey tomatoes made the "o's" to represent the Garden State, of course the map of New Jersey for the "g", Ol' Barney made the "l" in my Doodle, and how can you have a South Jersey themed anything without pork roll which was my "e".

If I could enter do you think this Doodle could win?

If you or someone you know is creative and in grades K-12 get them to create their very own Doodle 4 Google. One winner will win a $30,000 college scholarship, their school or non-profit organization will get a $50,000 technology package, and they will have a behind the scenes experience with the Doodle team. During the time with the Doodle team their Doodle will be made into an interactive Doodle for Google.com

You've got to get those entries in fast because the contest ends this Friday March 2nd.
