Could Amazon’s New Headquarters Land in South Jersey?
Amazon, the online shopping giant, also known as one of the most innovative companies of 2017, may soon be looking for a second corporate headquarters.
Amazon headquarters, now located in Seattle, is apparently scouting for potential sites for a second location, and Atlantic County is pushing hard for Amazon to call South Jersey Home, according to a report from Shore News Today.
Dennis Levinson, the county executive for Atlantic County believes the perfect location for the second Amazon headquarters would be right here in Atlantic County, according to the report. Levinson would push the proximity of Atlantic County to big cities like New York, Philadelphia and Washington DC and the benefits of having an international airport close by. Atlantic City International Airport has one of the longest runways in the U.S.
According to CNN.com, Amazon will spend billions in the development of their headquarters. The new location would also bring in an estimated 50,000 full-time jobs.
Where in South Jersey would you think would make an ideal location for Amazon's second headquarters?
