Hope you didn't get use to the balmy weather we've been having for the past couple of days. Another round of brutally cold air will make it's way onto South jersey later this afternoon.   Atlantic City Police Department  is declaring a Code Blue beginning at 4 p.m. Monday, Jan. 27 through 8 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 30. Temps will drop from the 40's to the teens by late this afternoon. To make things even worse, wind chills will hover close to single digits or below zero for the next couple of days.

The Atlantic City Office of Emergency Management stresses that the elderly should be checked on  a daily basis to ensure they are warm and avoid the effects of hypothermia which can turn out to be deadly.

The  Atlantic City Rescue Mission will provide accommodations for the duration of Code Blue for those in need of shelter.
