Every Thursday morning at 7:15am on the Lite Rock Morning Show, the Humane Society of Ocean City brings in the new Lite Rock Pet of the Week.

If you are thinking about adding a pet to your family, please consider adopting from the Humane Society of Ocean City, a no-kill shelter recognized as one of the nation’s top ten animal shelters. All of the animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped before adoption. All animals also receive an Alumni Card which entitles them to a 10% lifetime discount for veterinary services at the Humane Society of Ocean City clinic.

This week we met Coco the dog....
Here is some information on Coco from the Humane Society of Ocean City:

“ Coco is a ~15-month old female Cocker Spaniel is happy, outgoing, adventurous… affectionate and playful. Coco is all black with standard Cocker Spaniel features and behaviors. Coco will need daily exercise via long walks and interactive playtime, preferably outdoors. She loves to play chase and fetch. She is intelligent and learns fairly quickly, being so young Coco would benefit greatly from formal obedience training and the subsequent bonding that comes with it.

Coco is seeking a home with active people who have time and energy to spend with her playing and snuggling. She is an active young dog who needs routine activity and lots of attention. Kids should be adolescent or older. She can play well with other dogs, but doesn’t like to share things like food, beds, and toys, so she may be fine as an occasional playmate, but not a housemate. Coco likes to chase small fuzzy animals, such as squirrels and cats. Coco is a bit of a princess, and needs to be the only pet.
