The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Atlantic and Cape May Counties from 5 p.m. Tuesday until 5 a.m. Wednesday.

After dropping 6-10 inches of snow over portions of the Carolinas, a coastal nor’easter could have enough energy to drop a round of 1-4 inches of snow across coastal portions of South Jersey, according to the National Weather Service Forecast Center.

The Canadian weather model shows the possibility of 2-4 inches of snow could fall over extreme eastern coastal New Jersey and most of Cape May County.

The snow would begin later in the day, ending late Tuesday night or very early Wednesday morning.
