Cape May County Zoo Welcome New Arrivals

The Cape May County Zoo was one of my favorite places to take my kids when they were young. Yesterday the zoo welcomed one if its newest arrivals.

A baby giraffe born on September 2nd and weighing over 160 pounds was walking around the African Savannah Exhibit. The baby giraffe standing over six foot tall was making its first appearance for the public since being born. The giraffe was the first one born at the zoo in 12 years.

The zoo also welcomed another new arrival a baby American Bison. Proud parents Henrietta and Hank came from Great Adventure in 2010.

The zoo plans to keep expanding exhibit space..The zoo hopes to break ground on a new  new snow leopard exhibit this October.
