CodeRed Alert, a new county-wide advance storm phone warning system is about to be unveiled in Cape May.

The new system, expected to operational in the next two weeks, will allow the county to call all landline phones in Cape May County and all cellphones that register for a prerecorded alert, according to the Press of Atlantic City.

Cape May County Freeholder Gerald Thornton said...

“This countywide alert system is the first of its kind available at no charge to our residents, property owners and visitors. This will allow the county OEM to provide emergency alerts and notices in advance of, and during major storms, and during other non-weather-related emergencies that may occur.”
