A candlelight vigil is scheduled for this evening to remember 14-year-old Aisling Cooke who passed away today following a weekend traffic accident.

Aisling Cooke was hurt in a three-vehicle crash on Route 40 in Hamilton Township on Saturday morning as she and four other Mainland Regional High School soccer players drove to a three-on-three charity tournament. Officials have confirmed this morning that Cooke died while on life support.

The Press of Atlantic City reports a candlelight vigil for Cooke is scheduled to be held at 5:30 this evening (Wednesday, September 3rd) at the Mainland Regional High School athletic field.

The school held special meetings yesterday for students, parents, and staff to cope with the tragedy. Counselors are available today and will be available tomorrow.
