Officials at the  Cape May County Zoo are still  trying to figue out who stole an African Grey Parrot named Brutus on Sunday.

Middle Township authorities found Brutus the parrot walking along an area road Monday night.

According to  Zookeeper Peter Cyr, Brutus isn't the nicest of parrots. It is possible that Brutus tried to bite or attack the person responsible for taking him.

This is first kind of any theft at the zoo according to  Edward Runyon,  the zoo’s Parks Director. The parrot's cage was latched and chained but not locked. The parrot is estimated to be worth between $800 and $1,000.

Needless to say, zoo officials are happy to have Brutus back home.
