Two men involved in a suspected drug-making operation in the Villas  found out the hard out about the dangers of making meth, when one of the men burned himself with the chemicals they were using.

Lower Township Police responding to a call on Tuesday, Dec.16 at a home on Maple Road found John Matthews, 26,  in front of the residence with burns to his face and hands, according to The Press of Atlantic City.

A second man, Nick Alexander, 24, was arrested after running from the house when police arrived.

Police found drug making equipment and methamphetamine during a search of the home.

Matthews and Alexander were charged with maintaining or operating a controlled dangerous substance production facility. Both were held in the Cape May County jail in lieu of $300,000 bail.
