Boss The Pit Bull had successful surgery yesterday to remove a bullet from his face.Boss has been at a hospital since being found by a couple. Boss was limping and bleeding from a gun shot wound when he was found.

Boss is recuperating nicely form surgery performed at  Stafford Veterinary Hospital in Manahawkin. More than $5,000 in donations have been collected to help pay the medical bills for Boss.

The bullet that was lodged in Boss's face has been sent to  Burlington County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and State Police for further investigation. South Jersey animal welfare laws are also being reviewed and debated because of what happened to Boss.

The good news is that Boss will make a full recovery from his injuries without any complications...
