Billy Joel Announces Philadelphia Concert Date This Summer

Billy Joel will play his first solo headlining concert at Citizens Bank Park this summer.

In a press conference held this morning at the baseball park, it was announced that Joel will play the Philly show on Saturday, August 2nd.

Billy Joel previously co-headlined two of his "Face to Face" concerts with Elton John at the venue.
Tickets for the show go on sale for American Express card holders on Monday, January 27th and for the general public on Friday, January 31st at ticketmaster.com, Livenation.com,Ticketmaster outlets or by calling 1-800-745-3000.

The Piano Man is second in Philadelphia live concert appearances to only Bruce Springsteen.  Joel has played 48 total concerts in the city over the years.
