Big Winners From Second Night of Miss America Competition

The second night of Miss America preliminaries were held last night at Boardwalk Hall. The night belonged to Miss Oklahoma and Miss Minnesota.Miss Oklahoma  Kelsey Griswold earned and $1,000 scholarship for fitness and evening gown. Miss Minnesota Rebecca Yeh earned a $2,000 scholarship for the talent part of the competition for her violin solo.

There was also a special 9/11 tribute as group of local teenagers from the Spotlight Performers Show Choir of the Greater Ocean City Theater Company performed "God Bless the USA" to open the competition.

Round 3 of the preliminaries is slated for tonight at Boardwalk Hall. The Miss America Finals will be live on ABC TV this Sunday night for m 9-11..
