Big Changes Coming to Atlantic City International Airport

Governor Christie approved plans for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey to take over the operation of the AC Airport from the South Jersey Transportation Authority.The takeover may happen as early as July. According to officials this will increase the number of flights through the airport dramatically.

The news has already sparked interest in one airline that does not currently fly routes out of Atlantic City – Air Canada. The Port Authority on NY & NJ said the takeover would help the airport attract business of South Jersey residents who currently travel to Philadelphia for flights.
