We are getting closer and closer to the official grand opening of the new Egg Harbor Township Walmart Supercenter. In fact, the Oak Tree Plaza is scheduled to be ready to go during Summer 2017.

According to the Press of Atlantic City, and the developers site, Wolfson Group, besides Walmart, the Oak Tree Plaza will also be home to Planet Fitness, Petco, Coco Nails, Sally Beauty, and T-Mobile. Proposed tenants also include Starbucks and Chick Fil-A.

If you use Fire Road in EHT for your commute, get ready for some traffic headaches over the next two weeks due to Walmart construction. Also be on the lookout for new traffic signals in that area. They are now in flash mode and will be in full force starting on May 15th.

I pass the new plaza site on my way to the Parkway every night, and I'm still getting used to the new traffic signals. I'm sure I'm not the only one not looking forward to those lights being turned on next week.
