Bat Tests Positive for Rabies in Somers Point

The Atlantic County Division of Public Health has confirmed that a bat has tested positive for the rabies virus.

The bat was found at a home in Somers Point on Massachusetts Avenue. The owners of the residence noticed two of their cats fighting with the bat. Local Animal Officials trapped the bat and quickly removed it from the property.
