Atlantic City Police Warn Residents of Phone Scam

Atlantic City Police have issued a warning of a possible phone scam targeting Atlantic County.A male will call households and identify himselfy an an Atlantic City Electric employee. The scammer will then demand the homeowner to pay $1,000. If the money is not paid the scammer then will threaten to have the electricity turned off.

According to Atlantic City Electric no such calls are being made of this nature. Atlantic City Police want residents to be aware and to contact authorities if they do recive a call from Atlantic City Electric at (609) 652-1234.
