Are Your Habits Aging You?
If your to-do list never seems to get any shorter, the stress can add up and tax your body, making you age more quickly than you should.
Chronic stress triggers the release of free radicals, unstable molecules that damage cells. What can we do? We need to stop the multi-tasking. It seems as if it would make us more efficient, but it can actually create more stress.
Instead of trying to do everything at once, let’s do one thing well and concentrate on a single task at a time.
And something that is sure to age all of us is lack of sleep. Make it a priority get to bed at a reasonable hour and good night’s sleep. Lack of sleep not only results in fatigue and dark circles, but has been linked to a shorter lifespan. Most adults need at least seven hours.
