Another pet owner in New Jersey is left searching for answers after his beloved dog died during a grooming appointment at a local Pet Smart. 

According to NJ.com, an 8-year-old corgi passed away while being given a bath at the PetSmart in Toms River which is located on Hooper Ave.

This is the third time tragedy has struck at a Pet Smart in New Jersey since December of 2017 according to the USA Today. Two dogs died while being groomed at the PetSmart in Flemington according to the report.

Chuck Crawford, who dropped off both of his corgis Abby and Harley to be groomed together. He received a call from PetSmart telling him that Abby had died and where he could pick her up.

PetSmart has over 48 locations in the Garden State including stores in Somers Point and Mays Landing.

PetSmart has expressed sympathy concerning the incidents and has said all the deaths were unrelated. The latest incident is under investigation.
