A third case of rabies has been reported in Egg Harbor Township

According to the The Atlantic County Health Services a raccoon was spotted by a homeowner on Ridge Ave in his backyard. An animal control officer was able to remove the raccoon and take it to a state lab.

It’s also important  to make sure your pet is properly vaccinated.

There were eight positive rabies cases in Atlantic County according to Health Services: four raccoons, two bats and two cats.
