Absecon Police Release Alert for Scam

The Absecon Police have received a scam complaint from a local resident. According to Police, a man tried to gain access into a women's home by pretending to be a city employee.The women was told that she was eligible for a comp. The man also wanted to meet her at her home to fill out the necessary paper work for the fake comp. The unidentified male then showed up at the women's home this past Sunday night and asked for sensitive information.

According to the women's description, the man is a  white male, around 45-50 years old. He is 6-feet tall and has slicked back hair.

Absecon Police are reminding residents not to get involved with any suspicious phone calls or possible scams.  Contact police to report any complaint or incident at 609-641-0667.
