The countdown is on for the unofficial start of the summer season. As the weather heats up, so does the entertainment in Atlantic City.

Get ready for a summer full of live shows on the beach, concerts and parades in Atlantic City.

Two big country shows are are ready to hit the beach in AC this summer. Toby Keith performs on July 23 and Florida Georgia Line will be live on on Sept. 3. More shows will be scheduled according to Live Nation Philadelphia. A big announcement on the summer concert series is promised.

The Atlantic City Air Show will also return this summer. Thunder Over The Boardwalk is set for August 17th. Once again, the U.S Air Force Thunder Birds will be the headline of the show. Also scheduled to appear will be the U.S. Army Golden Nights Parachute Team. Last year's show was a lot of fun, as was broadcasting live from the boardwalk. It's always one of my highlights of the summer!

The Atlantic City Convention Center, for the first time, will host the National Sports Collectors Convention from August 3rd to the 7th. This convention could bring over 30,000 people to AC, according to the Press of Atlantic City.

Finally, 52 contestants will once again compete during the Miss America competition in the hopes of becoming Miss America 2017. The Miss America preliminaries will be held from September 6th through the 8th. The Miss America Pageant will then take place at Boardwalk Hall on September 11th.

I had such a great time broadcasting live on the boardwalk for the arrival of all the Miss America contestants, even though it was a sweltering summer day.
