Cape May County has agreed to a deal to bring a fun, new attraction to the Cape May County Park & Zoo in spring of 2016.

According to the Press of Atlantic City, an Oregon company, Tree to Tree Adventure Park . has been contracted to build a 55-foot high treetop adventure course and zipline in the woods behind the Cape May Zoo.

County freeholders signed a contract with the company last week to build a $775,000 climbing and zipline course for children and adults.

The freeholders were impressed with the company's double-harness safety system and their success with running similar attractions in Oregon and New York state.

The zoo, which is Cape May County's biggest tourist attraction, attracting 500,000 visitors a year, has been looking for a feature to spotlight the county park's trails and woodland setting.

Tree to Tree also plans to offer corporate and group outings at the course.
