Citing the ongoing Trump Entertainment Resorts’ bankruptcy court proceedings, Atlantic City's Hard Rock Cafe has filed notice that the restaurant plans to close in April, laying off 73 workers.

The Rock 'n' roll themed restaurant, which has maintained a prime Boardwalk spot at the Taj Mahal Casino since 1996, has scheduled the layoffs of bartenders, line cooks, servers, retail sales people, bussers and dishwashers for April 22nd.

According to the Press of Atlantic City, The Hard Rock Cafe filed a notice with the New Jersey Department of Labor & Workforce Development warning it plans to close.

The restaurant last fall attempted to get bankruptcy court to "force the casino to say whether it will honor its lease," the Associated Press notes. Donald Trump is no longer associated with the casinos and has been attempting to have his name removed from the properties.

The Taj Mahal avoided closing late in 2014 thanks to a $20 million cash infusion by billionaire investor Carl Ichan, who plans to take control over the casino.

Attempts to contact the company's public relations firm this morning were not immediately returned.
