The grandmother of a 7-year-old Dennis Township boy says he is a hero.

According to Deb Beloin, of Upper Township, if it wasn't for Bradley Bianchino's quick thinking, his mother may have died in a fire at the family's home early Tuesday morning.

"Absolutely, he woke up and saw the flames and woke his mom and got them out of the house",  Beloin told the Press of Atlantic City.

Bradley is a second-grader at Dennis Township Primary School. He and his mom and the family's two cats all escaped the overnight fire, but the house received extensive damage.

Firefighters from Ocean View, Dennisville, Avalon, Cape May Court House and Seaville responded to the fire shortly after 3 a.m.Tuesday.

Beloin has established a GoFundMe.com page to raise money for living expenses and to help the family of this young hero get a new start.

"My daughter Kacey and grandson Bradley lost their home early this morning to a housefire. Bradley is a HERO and woke his mom up as soon as he saw the flames. his words "I got us out mommom".

He also was sure to tell us all that he had said his prayers before he went to bed. We are all so very thankful that they are alive! The house can be replaced but sadly they lost everything in it. They have nothing now, so I'm trying to help them out", Beloin said.
