    The Atco Ghost

    The Atco Ghost has been know to have made numerous appearances on Burnt Mill Road in the Pine Barrens.

    According to Weird NJ, legend has it that the ghost is a boy who darted into the street chasing a basketball on Christmas Day, and was struck by a drunk driver. Tales report that his spirit haunts the accident site.

    The Devil's Tree

    I don't even like the sound of this one. This tree, located in Bernard Township, is pure evil, according to Ghostly Hollow.com. The tree is said to be over 200-years-old.

    Rumor has it, that anyone who has tried to cut the tree down has met with an untimely death. The tree has multiple scratch marks, which leads locals to believe it's a "portal to hell".

    Okay, this really gives me a big dose of the creeps!

    Ghost Train of the Pennsylvania Rail Road Station

    This urban legend comes to us from Penn Station in Newark. According to NJGHS.com, a ghost train would pull up to the train station on the tenth of every month back in the 1870's. However, there were never any reports of witnesses seeing an actual train.

    The "Express Train to Hell" never stopped to pick up anybody up. Who would want to get on? Not me!

    Clinton Road

    One of the most haunted roads in the entire state according to Wikipedia, is Clinton Road on Rt. 23 in West Milford.

    There have been plenty of spooky occurrences and strange sightings over the years including ghosts, witches, and odd creatures. Rumors have been swirling that victims of professional hit men are buried in the desolate woods off Clinton Road.

    The Jersey Devil

    We've saved the most famous urban legend for last. According to halloweenghoststories.com, the Jersey Devil is a mythical creature that has haunted the Pinelands and surrounding areas for over 260 years.

    There are over 2,000 reported sightings of the Jersey Devil. Now that gives me the creeps!

    According to Wikipedia, Mother Leeds gave birth to her 13th child in 1735 saying, this one would be the Devil.
