2012 Was The Warmest Year Ever

jalalspages/flickr

2012 will go down in the record books as being the hottest year ever in the U.S. It was also the second most year on record for extreme weather. Last year we had 11 natural disasters that caused over $1 Billion in damages. We certainly were caught in the middle of extreme weather with super-storm Sandy.

Rain levels were also way under average and the average temp for the year was a balmy 55 degrees. Kind of strange to be writing this on January 10th with temps right around 50.. We may even see 60 degrees this weekend!

Who’s looking forward to a warm and sunny weekend?
