• ""The Sign" from Ace of Base was on top of the charts

• Oasis made one of the greatest debut albums in rock

• Kurt Cobain committed suicide

• PlayStation was released

• The video game Donkey Kong Country was hugely popular

• Early mobile phones were being used

• People were not understanding Princess Diana and Prince Charles' split

• One of the first web browsers, Mosaic from Netscape, was released

• The TV shos Friends launched in 1994

• Figure skater Nancy Kerrigan was clubbed in the right leg, courtesy of Tonya Harding's ex-husband.

• Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman were murdered and OJ had his famous White Ford Bronco police chase.

• Actress Dakota Fanning, and singers Harry Styles and Justin Bieber were born.
